New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve was an absolute blast! We headed out to Monterey, stayed in a beautiful hotel, and spent the first day of the year in Carmel. What better way to start 2016!

As New Year’s approached, we realized we needed to get away from the stress of the 8-5. We booked a room at Hotel 1110, a beautiful boutique hotel not far from central Monterey.

The Third Floor Queen was incredible. The room was beautifully decorated with dark wooden furniture. I myself was most excited about the heated tile floors and toilet seat. We stepped out for dinner before coming back to get ready for the party at the rooftop lounge at our hotel.

The drinks were perfect for me: not too strong or sweet. There was a photo booth, dancing, fire pits, and even tarot readings. The crowd was energetic and lively. I even danced a little myself!

As glasses of champagne were passed out we knew that midnight was close. The energy of the party as we all counted down was so strong, definitely one to remember!

The next morning we were treated with a complimentary breakfast. Apple fritters, egg and goat cheese frittata, and such good coffee. We spent the rest of the day in Carmel shopping and dining.

It was such a great mini trip and we can’t wait to book another stay at Hotel 1110! Though, I’d like to stay longer. One night just wasn’t enough to enjoy the jet spa tub.
