This weekend was full of events. Saturday night was Ernesto’s brother’s birthday dinner. Sunday I had a holiday brunch with my family and friends over in the evening. Definitely a busy weekend full of memories.
Saturday night we drove out to San Jose to celebrate the birthday of Ernesto’s brother, Jorge. We had dinner at House of Genji, a nice teppanyaki place in San Jose. It was great to catch up with Jorge, his wife Tina, and Ernesto’s other brother Nick.
After dinner we had a few drinks at the sports bar Sideline. The boys shot darts while us girls chatted. We finished the night at Jorge and Tina’s playing Cards Against Humanity, which in my opinion is the best game ever.
Sunday morning began in San Jose and ended back on Tracy where I had brunch with my family at the Home For The Holidays event. Every year Tracy holds this event and it means so much to my family and me to have this as a tradition.
It’s a weekend long event that celebrates Thanksgiving and Christmas. Saturday night there is a nice dinner with dancing and drinks. Sunday morning there is the breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The breakfast is what we go to each year. After the breakfast we go next door to the boutique that is set up for local vendors. There is everything from clothes to food to jewelry. I bought two of my favorite jams!
Sunday evening our friends from Palo Alto came out to see us and have dinner. Deepak and Ernesto went and jammed for a bit, while Karla and I watched the AMA’s and caught up. We hadn’t seen them since new years and it felt great to relax with them.
I definitely wouldn’t have made it through Sunday without the three hour nap I took between brunch and dinner! It was all worth it for the great memories that were made this weekend.
